Come and experience the wonderful wildlife and beauty of the African bush! Our Capture a Moment Package offers you a South African safari in the pristine malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. You will stay in an exclusive and intimate safari lodge which is shaded by majestic trees. It has fantastic views over the swimming pool and waterhole.

At this Madikwe lodge you will be accommodated in luxurious bush villas that are equipped with all the creature comforts you could want. You will go on memorable game drives in the company of an expert ranger who will help you track down animals such as the Big Five, Cheetah and Wild Dog. The ranger will tell you interesting facts about the animals you come across, as well as stories about life in the bush.

In the evenings you will return to your luxury game lodge, where you will enjoy a luscious Pan-African inspired meal out in the boma (meeting area), or on the deck. After dinner you can relax around the campfire and share stories with one another before retiring to your villa, where you will fall asleep to the sounds of the African night.

Day 1: Johannesburg - Madikwe Game Reserve

On the first morning of your South African safari you will wake up excited to set out on your Capture a Moment Package. You will be met by your pilot at the O.R. Tambo International Airport before being flown to the Madikwe Game Reserve airstrip. Once you have landed, you’ll be driven to your luxury game lodge. This is a great introduction to the reserve and you may see wildlife such as Elephant and Impala or Zebra along the way.

Once you have checked in, you will savour a delicious lunch and have time to relax before heading out on your afternoon game viewing activity. You may be lucky enough to see some of the “Super Seven” – the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino) as well as Wild Dog and Cheetah. Stopping off in a scenic spot, you will enjoy sundowners before having a night drive back to your Madikwe lodge where you will have a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2: Madikwe Game Reserve

You will have an early morning wake-up call, followed by tea or coffee and a quick snack before heading out on your morning game drive. You should keep an eye out for animals that are adapted for life in the Kalahari such as Gemsbok and Springbok. Your guide will tell you more about the habits of the animals you come across. You will stop along the way for refreshments before continuing your safari.

Returning to the lodge around mid-morning you’ll enjoy a refreshing breakfast, which will be followed by some relaxation time. You can sit in the lodge lounge, or out on the deck, and watch to see if any animals come to drink at the waterhole. You could also have a refreshing swim in the pool before lunch. In the afternoon you will once again head out into on another game drive.

Day 3: Madikwe Game Reserve - Johannesburg

On the last morning of your Capture a Moment South African safari you’ll enjoy one last game drive followed by a delicious breakfast. You’ll then be transported back to the airstrip where you will catch your flight back to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport.
