How to get to The Bush House, Madikwe Game Reserve

The Bush Lodge is situated overlooking an active waterhole. Guests can access the Bush House either by road or air. Charter flights depart regularly from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. The drive from Johannesburg takes about 4 hours.

Getting to The Bush House

From Johannesburg, head north on the N1 towards the N4 Toll Road. Take the N4 Toll Road heading north west towards Rustenburg, Swartruggens, Groot Marico and Zeerust. Once you've arrived in Zeerust, turn right at the third stop street into President Street.

You will see a signpost on the left that reads 'Madikwe Game Reserve/Gabarone'. Follow the R49/47 toowards the Madikwe Game Reserve for about 95km (59.03 miles). Continue past the Abjaterskop Gate and continue for another 7km (4.34 miles). Enter at the next gate known as the Wonderboom Gate.
