Your Madikwe Safari Lodge Experience
Madikwe Safari Lodge is ideally situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, offering so much more than a safari experience. This lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve boasts 3 exclusive camps - Lelapa, Kopano and Dithaba. each giving guests a customized experience. Letaba is family-friendly, Kopano is intimate and luxurious, and Dithaba is a private exclusive-use lodge.
Start your day with an early morning game drive. Professional rangers are able to assist you in tracking African wildlife. Some of the game you could see include the Big Five (Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Buffalo). Other wildlife includes Cheetah, Oryx, Wild Dog and Impala.
Madikwe Safari Lodge also offers interactive bush walks, which allow you to get close to nature. Learn more about the surrounding African bush while keeping an eye out for some of the many different bird species. Some of the birds you could see include the Crimson-breasted Shrike, Martial Eagle, Cape Vulture and Carmine Bee-eater.
As the sun sets, the bush beckons! An evening safari starts with sundowners followed by a thrilling game drive to seek out predators like lions, leopards and hyenas. Smaller creatures also come out after their siesta - look out for porcupines, bushbabies and honey badgers.
Children at Madikwe Safari Lodge
Children are welcome to stay at Lelapa Lodge which is family-friendly. Kopano and Dithaba Lodge only accommodate children older than 16 unless they are booked out exclusively. For safety reasons, children under 5 are not allowed on game drives. however, a family game drive is offered after breakfast for younger kids.
