Honeymoon under African Skies is an exclusive private break away for honeymooners, in the beautiful Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa, which lies along the border with Botswana. Includes Meet 'n Greet service and flights ex/to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport.

You'll be surrounded by the sounds of the wild and fall asleep in a comfortable bed.Day 1: Johannesburg - Madikwe Game Reserve
On arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport there will be a Meet and Greet before your light aircraft flight to Madikwe airstrip. You will be welcomed at the airstrip and then transferred to the lodge. The 4x4 road transfer takes 30 minutes and there will be game viewing opportunities along the way. Depending on your time of arrival you can enjoy lunch after checking-in at the lodge.
You can relax in your spacious suite with its open-fronted lounge and private sundeck which has uninterrupted views over a river, or explore the lodge and its facilities. In the late afternoon there will be a game drive with sundowners along the way, followed by game viewing by spotlight on the drive back to the lodge where you will enjoy a tasty dinner.
Day 2: Madikwe Game Reserve
Today there will be a wake-up call in time for the morning game drive. Your ranger will share a wealth of knowledge with you, from the fascinating private life of the dung beetle to the intricacies of the Wild Dog's social system. Game drives take 3 - 4 hours and include stops for refreshments.
When you return to the lodge it will be time for breakfast and leisure activities. Your African honeymoon package includes a complimentary beauty treatment at the spa. You can also spend time browsing the curio shop or reading a book from the library before lunch.
Following afternoon tea the evening game drive sets off. The Madikwe Game Reserve is home to the Big Five (Lion, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino and Leopard), Cheetah, Hyena and many more amazing African animals, so there will be plenty to see. You'll return to the lodge for an atmospheric dinner in the boma (traditional outdoor enclosure).
Day 3: Madikwe Game Reserve
If you rise early you can relax on your deck and keep a lookout for wildlife on the river banks. Today there will be a morning game drive or you can enjoy a game walk accompanied by an experienced ranger. Bush walks offer a very different perspective and you will discover many details that are overlooked on game drives.
Between meals and game viewing activities you can take a dip in the pool or have a siesta. There are a number of hides where you may relax and watch animals and birds going about their lives. The birdlife of Madikwe is varied with around 340 species attracted to different habitats that exist in the reserve.
After dinner at the lodge, your ranger will take you to the sleep-out for a night under the stars and the ultimate bush experienced. Enjoy your first romantic retreat as newlyweds as you sleep in comfort on the upper deck of a hide which overlooks a waterhole.
Day 4: Madikwe Game Reserve - Johannesburg
Your ranger and guests on the morning game drive will collect you from the hide and continue with the activity. Later you will return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out.
There will be a road transfer to the airstrip for your connecting flight back to Johannesburg.
