You can access Madikwe Safari Lodge easily from Johannesburg. The drive to Madikwe Game Reserve will take about 4 and a half hours, depending on traffic. Alternatively, you can fly directly into Madikwe Game Reserve on daily flights followed by a luxury road transfer to Madikwe Safari Lodge.
From Fourways, travel to the Foursways shopping centre via Rivonia or the N1 South. Follow the directions to Hartebeespoort Dam and continue straight. Turn left onto the N14 highways and follow the Krugersdorp signposts.
Continue in a southwesterly direction until you reach a four-way stop. At the four-way stop, turn right onto the N14 towards Ventersdorp. At the T-junction, turn right towards Ventersdorp / Hekpoort. When the road splits, take the left fork towards Ventersdorp.
Continue along this road until you reach a four-way junction. Turn right towards Rustenburg. Drive through the town of Magaliesberg and take the left fork in the road (R509 to Boons and Derby). Continue through Derby towards Koster situated about 17km (10.59 miles) away.
Once you reach Koster, turn right towards Swartruggents on the R509 situated about 34km (21.12 miles) away. turn left at the stop street onto the N4 to Swartruggens, Groot Marico and Zeerust. When you reach Zeerust, turn right at President Street onto the R47 / R49 to Gabarone.
Drive about 90km (55.92 miles) to the Abjaterskop Gate and enter Madikwe Game Reserve. Follow the Derdepoort Gate sign throughout the Madikwe Game Reserve until you reach the turn off for Madikwe Safari Lodge. Drive for about 29km (18.01 miles).
