How to get to Jacis Lodges

Jaci's Lodges are situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve in the far north of South Africa, adjacent to the Botswana border.

Madikwe is malaria free game reserve in South Africa, which makes it a very attractive safari destination. You can expect to see the Big Five African animals here, plus some other fantastic game including Cheetah, Wild Dog, Sable Antelope, Oryx, Springbok and Giraffe.

Drive time is approximately 4 hours from Johannesburg International Airport via Sun City Resort or a short charter flight of 45 minutes to Madikwe's own airstrip. The elevation is 3200 feet above sea level.

Guests must refuel their cars at Sun Village/Zeerust as there is no fuel available inside the reserve. 

By Air

There are daily scheduled flights (55 mins) from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve. Transfers from the airstrip in Madikwe Game Reserve to Jaci's Lodges can be arranged.

By Road

There are 2 routes by road from Johannesburg International Airport to Madikwe Game Reserve. The first route (approximately 3.5 hours driving time) travels via Sun City Resort which travels over approximately 90 kilometers (55.9 miles) of gravel road. The second route (about 5 hours driving time) travels via the towns of Rustenburg and Zeerust.
