The Madikwe Game Reserve is situated in a malaria free area rich with abundant game, birdlife and natural vegetation in the North West Province, South Africa.

Madikwe is home to Lion, Leopard, over 400 Elephant, Black and White Rhino, Buffalo, Hippo, Brown and Spotted Hyena, Giraffe, Wild Dog and Cheetah. The expansive grass plains boast Gemsbok and Springbok and over 340 species of bird.

Madikwe is 360 kilometres (223 miles) from Johannesburg, which is an easy 3.5 - 4 hour drive on good roads.

By air

Fedair run daily flights from Johannesburg International direct to the all weather 1.200 metre gravel Madikwe airstrip.
